Company History

  • 1939 Established as Fuji Lite Industries Co., Ltd. in Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Pref.. Begins manufacturing clutch plates, gears and other synthetic resin products by means of press molding using bakelite as the principal raw material.
  • 1943 Changes trade name to Fuji Chemical Co., Ltd..
  • 1948 Begins business dealings with Honda R&D Co., Ltd. (now Honda Motor Co., Ltd.).
  • 1954 Begins business dealings with Suzuki Motor Corporation.
  • 1956 Begins business dealings with Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd.
  • 1963 Constructs Suzuka Factory in Mie Pref.. Constructs R&D Division in Shizuoka Pref..
  • 1971 Begins business dealings with Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd.
  • 1982 Establishes Kyushu Fuji Chemical Industries Co., Ltd. (now KYUSHU F.C.C. CO., LTD., a consolidated subsidiary) in Shimomashiki-gun(now Uki City), Kumamoto Pref..
  • 1984 Constructs Ryuyo Factory in Shizuoka Pref. Begins paper lining production process. Changes trade name to F.C.C. CO., LTD.
  • 1988 Establishes JAYTEC, INC. (now FCC(INDIANA)Mfg.,LLC., a consolidated subsidiary) in Indiana, U.S.A..
  • 1989 Establishes FCC (THAILAND) CO., LTD. (now a consolidated subsidiary) in Bangkok, Thailand.
    Constructs Hosoe Factory in Inasa-gun(now Hamamatsu City), Shizuoka Pref..
    Constructs and relocates Head Office and R&D Division.
  • 1992 Makes equity investment in KWANG HWA SHING INDUSTRIAL CO.,LTD. of Tainan Province, Taiwan.
  • 1993 Establishes FCC (PHILIPPINES) CORP. (now a consolidated subsidiary) in Laguna, Philippines.
    Acquires shares of TENRYU SANGYO CO., LTD. (now a consolidated subsidiary) of ,Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Pref.
  • 1994 Registers its shares for OTC trading with the Securities Dealers Association of Japan.
    Establishes CHENGDU JIANG HUA. F.C.C. CLUTCHES. CO., LTD. (now CHENGDU YONGHUA. F.C.C. CLUTCHES CO., LTD., a consolidated subsidiary) in Chengdu, Szechuan Province, China.
  • 1995 Establishes CHU'S F.C.C. CO., LTD.(SHANGHAI) (now a consolidated subsidiary) in Shanghai, China.

  • 2001 Establishes PT. FCC INDONESIA in karyawan, Indonesia.
  • 2002 Establishes FCC(North America), INC. and FCC (INDIANA),INC. (both consolidated subsidiaries) in Indiana, U.S.A.
  • 2003 Lists its shares on the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
